Opera Stats on the Rise

Opera browserOpera’s global usage share has more than doubled since January, 2001, according to StatMarket December 4th. Opera is also growing faster in certain European countries. While it still accounts for less than one percent of the overall global market, its numbers are on the rise.

Providing a free ad-sponsored version last year helped, and its new interface will also go a long way, in addition to it already being a stable, solid, standards-based browser.

See also my recent post about Opera and the accompanying press release.
