New CSS Book Preview at WebReference
May 17th I mentioned the exceptional new CSS book, Cascading Style Sheets: Separating Content from Presentation, by Owen Briggs, Steve Champeon, Eric Costello, Matthew Patterson. Now you can preview the first chapter at WebReference: Chapter 1: Foundation Concepts. This well written history of how we evolved to where we are today with XHTML and CSS provides the backdrop to the rest of the book’s practical, real world CSS.
The book itself describes one of the reasons why I like it so much:
“This book is a focused guide to using CSS for the visual design of web pages. It’s practical, there’s no fluff, and the core CSS skills are balanced by techniques for using the technology in today’s browsers.”
So check out this first chapter preview at WebReference.
