Tom Negrino Authoring New Contribute Book

Tom Negrino was finally able to reveal that he’s authoring Macromedia Contribute Visual QuickStart Guide. Congratulations! I know it will be another great one. Tom’s wife, Dori Smith, made valuable comments about Contribute at the WaSP’s Buzz the other day, too, from a knowing perspective.

And speaking of Macromedia Contribute, I’ve got a preview copy here on my computer that I’m checking out. From my initial first glance it seems quite intuitive and easy to use, and I can see my clients learning to use it pretty quickly to update their own content without having to think about any HTML markup. My clients will appreciate being able to easily add or change content themselves, and I can block out certain areas of a page or parts of the site so they won’t be concerned about messing up something or having to pay me to fix something. And it will do all that without adding extraneous markup or messing up the existing markup. So this truly seems like a good solution. More in the days ahead...
