More on Blog Neighbors

Yesterday I mentioned BlogStreet’s visual neighborhoods. To find your geographical blog neighbors, check out GeoURL. GeoURL describes itself as a location-to-URL reverse directory, and its search is based on your longitude and latitude. The site has links to obtain your reference points, and after you add a couple of meta tags to your webpage you can submit your site to be indexed.

In its very short two-month existence, GeoURL has already been slashdotted and made the New York Times.

You may find both familiar and new weblogs as you meander through the listings and check out your own neighborhood. I wasn’t surprised to find a multitude of weblogs listed in the nearby San Francisco area but not so many listed yet in my local town: GeoURL.
