Here are just a few of the many helpful sources for searching faster and smarter. I’ve also listed several handy translation tools available for selected text or entire webpages.

Translate Text or a Webpage

Bookmarklets, browser built-ins and add-ons:

• AltaVista’s Babel Fish
  See also Alta Vista’s Toolbar for Internet Explorer that includes a language translation feature.
• Google Language Tools
  See also Google’s Toolbar for Internet Explorer that includes a language translation feature.
• Opera
  Using Opera you can right-click on any highlighted content and translate it into a variety of languages. No bookmarklets or other tools needed.
• Translation Bookmarklets
  by Joe Maller. Quite a few language translation bookmarklets, or favelets, using Google or AltaVista’s language translation tools.
• Troels' Search and Translation Bookmarklets
  Bookmarklets for several versions of Netscape, Opera, Internet Explorer
• WWWJDIC Translation Aid
  Translate Japanese text from a webpage to English. A bookmarklet tool is also provided.
