Windows XP - October?

Windows XP - October?Several articles published within the last 24 hours indicate that Windows XP will ship by October 25th. "Windows XP ship date causes some concern" by Dan Richman for May 10th’s Seattle Post, also relays the worries of computer companies about the return to school sales and how the later release date could reduce the sales that a new operating system could promote. Microsoft is hoping that a good Christmas season more than offsets a back-to-school loss.

Windows XP Home Edition is designed to succeed Windows 95, 98, 98 2nd Edition, ME, and personal computer operating systems. Windows XP Professional is geared toward businesses, succeeding Windows 2000. Richman’s article goes into further details on all of this, too.
